Correlation of Mix Design Types

Current Superpave design standards were modified by the Georgia Department of Transportation in late 2006. These new design standards incorporate the enhanced aggregate structure for rut resistance familiar to the original Superpave design standards of 2001 with increased liquid asphalt cement content for increased durability and compactability reminiscent of the Marshall design standards of 1993.
